I am ecstatic to bring the awesome news of Anzacs winning the 2005
NCSU Challenge Trophy and am honored to captain such a great team. It
was a total team effort to win in such convincing fashion and in the
process setting some impressive records. Our batting was startling
with notable performances from everyone including Krishna, Parth,
Sunil, Ani, Nagi, Salman, Sunil, Jeff and Shekhar. We bowled
impressively throughout the tournament with Krishna, Parth. Ani, Nagi,
Jeff, Vik, Ketan and Salman. We had the luxury of having three good
wicket keepers among Usman, Sunil and Shekhar. All in all, it was a
great performance and we missed the company of Sudeep, Rahul, Kam and
Simon. A big Thank You goes to Usman and Salman for staying there and
cheering us despite fasting and PD, Pragya and Rupali for coming and
cheering us. In my opinion, this victory has brought the team
together and enabled us to understand each other and play as a true
team and a band of brothers. I can only hope we continue this
momentum throughout the off season and into the 2006 MACC season.
