The final was an awesome game, played against our MACC rival - DCC, under lights from 9 - 10PM, after whole day's cricket. It was an 8 over game played with a hard tennis ball. To put things in perspective - DCC wicket keeper chose to use wicket keeping gloves to keep wickets (in a tennis ball tournament!).

DCC entered into the finals, oozing with confidence, after having scored 115 runs in 8 overs in the semi-finals, against a local team - SAS. On the other hand, Anzacs were counting the time left to hit the bar and even proposed a 6 over final instead of 8, which was turned down by DCC.

The rest was history. DCC, after electing to bat, hit a dead end, facing Krishna, Rahul and Nikhil. They were all out (i.e 7 wickets as it was 8-a-side tournment) for 29 runs in 8 overs.

What a change of fortune Anzacs brings to the opponents !!!

Anzacs made it through in 7 overs with 3 wickets in hand. Krishna won trophies for the "Man of the Match" and the "Best Bowler of the Tournament".

A special thanks to the Anzacs newbies - Subhayu, Ravi and Amay for helping us win this cup.

Go Anzacs !!! We Win, We Booze, We Workout !!!

- Sunil.
